I have just returned from a short summer break, and catching up with e-mails, I was a little upset with one particular email from one of our newer online bingo players. This bingo player, who shall remain un-named, told me of her sad story about her husband’s illness, and how he could not go to work for some time whilst recovering.  She came across as a lovely lady, however somewhat naive.  She had recently joined Starlight Bingo because, as she said ‘my regular online bingo site kept promising me that they would fix it for me to win the jackpot, due to my husband’s predicament.  I kept depositing more and more money with them, however, even though they promised me soon they would fix a big jackpot win for me, it was never forth-coming’.  She then came over to join Starlight Bingo, and sent me an email, asking if I could fix it, just this once for her to win a bingo jackpot.  The reason I am writing about this lady is to warn all online bingo players that if a site tells you they can fix it for you to win, then they are crooks through and through, do not believe them, and do not deposit money with them. 

All online bingo operators must be licenced (Starlight Bingo have been licenced since day one) and they must also be monitored and regulated, as we are. The way the bingo online software works is on a random number generating (RNG) technique, which means fairness to all players.  This software is regularly checked and monitored by regulators, and cannot be made to selectively ’fix a win’ for anybody. It is truly random, and this ensures fairness to all players. I have explained this in a long email to the player, who now understands that she was with a con bingo site.  Its fair to say that there are very few around, with the vast majority of online bingo sites being licenced, however there will always be the odd one that is not licenced, and will tweak the software, ilegally. I am not sorry that I cannot ‘fix it’ for this sweet lady, for to think that I could do that would be a nightmare for me.  We love all our players, and so how would one be able to choose who would win this time!  I would never ever want that scenario, and I am very proud to say that Starlight Bingo does make winners, many of them each week, but they are winners borne from fair gaming practices, and always will be.

For those who haven’t noticed yet, we have reduced our bingo card prices! You can now play bingo from as little as 5 cents, and with our progressive bingo jackpot, that 5 cents could win you thousands! We had a few readers of our blog who emailed in saying that they would like to join us to play bingo online , but don’t want to play the online games in $USD.  No problem!  If you are in Europe, or UK, upon opening your bingo account, you can then select the currency of your choice. So if you select £GBP, once you are logged into the games software, the card prices, and the bingo pot and jackpot prizes will all be converted to the equivalent in your own currency.
